So fast already day 3! to us, its only day 2... woke up to a beautiful view of the mountains and very cool air! cold in fact... (i'm almost forgetting how it felt... :|)
morning call was at 6 am... so early so early so early. but despite the quite tiring previous day and quite late night, i wasn't feeling too tired. maybe too excited, maybe weather was nice... :) we met the rest 7am at the lobby and proceeded to the resort restaurant for international buffet breakfast. I got distracted by the view outside before i went to take my food...
very nice mountain views... daddy liked the snow covered mountain top. cannot really see clearly... the weather was really very shiok!
daddy out for a smoke enjoying the cool weather. must be nice to smoke in such a cold place. vaguely recall uncle davide saying, everyone is "smoking" (the "white" air when we breathe out from our mouth cos its too cold), why shouldn't we? haha
After breakfast, we headed to Songsun Sunrise Peak - an extinct volcanic crater located on the eastern tip of Jeju island that look like an old castle wall. there was nothing there that looked like an old castle wall though... just a very bright sun and a loooooong way to climb...
pwetty view~
it was rather cold when we started climbing... but by the time we're halfway through, i took off the white outer jacket. and when we went back to the bottom, my clothes was wet from the sweat!
i took my time to go down cos there were still a lot of time left. wanted to enjoy the scenery and cold wind~
after i took hundreds of photos of the scenery, i caught up with mummy and made her took a picture with my lao shu~
the peacefulness...
Being Singaporeans... the entire tour ppl were busy shopping at this small tourist-y shop where the bus stopped. as we still had time before heading to another place... many ppl bought many things to eat... cuttlefish... ice cream... drinks... some korean skewer thing... and the famous jeju orange chocolate + rice crackers. i rather like the rice crackers... so i bought quite many... bought for office ppl also...
my blueberry + something ice cream!! its like the umazaki in singapore, they take a "cup" out from the fridge and put it in the machine to press it out. like playdoh u know? ice cream in cold weather is the best! though ice cream was not fantastic... but this was nothing compared to the one i had in melbourne! :x
upon boarding the tour bus, the tour guide said we were suppose to go for lunch immediately... and he didn't expect us to eat and eat at the Songsun Sunrise Peak... -_- he said don't even need to tell us what to try, or wad to buy, before he says anything, we already tried and bought everything... lol. i only had the ice cream! and a few pieces of cuttle fish! but not hungry yet... but still... we're going for BBQ pork for lunch!!! everyone said not hungry not hungry... but reach there... also eat and eat.... :x
heh. i like this picture also... duno talking about what... so happy...
none of us could remember... -_-
none of us could remember... -_-
out for a walk immediately after lunch! xiao yee & uncle davide~ that's a orange garden (is that wad u call it?) behind...
mummy & me... we bought jeju oranges from the hotel to try the previous night.
very nice and sweet!
lao shu with radish field...

lao shu with radish field...
mummy & lao shu on the way to Songup Folk Village. the village consists of traditional houses and the Tolhorubang grandfather stone which is believed as the guardian of the island. don't remember seeing stone leh...
black pigs! it is said that there are no normal pigs in jeju... only black ones! even the pork that we had for lunch was black pig meat... black pork... black.. i duno la...
Next was to Chongjiyon Waterfall! (a cascade that falls majestically from the cliff heights and then runs through a narrow gorge to the sea) - nothing like that at all... -_- probably cos it was winter... and most of the water are frozen...
family photo~ (daddy with his jeju cap.. -_- cannot see the eyes at all) (see below)
(my daddy looks better without the cap.....)
(my daddy looks better without the cap.....)
this is some mascot for jeju i suppose... one rock man and erm... is that suppose to be water or seaweed?
beautiful garden... as u can see trees and plants are all still alive... not deep into winter yet...
Teddy Bear Museum next! was quite excited about it... in fact... all i did in the museum was take pictures take pictures take pictures.... i'm sure those who went in without a camera enjoyed it more... -_-
merchandise shop - loads of teddy bear merchandises "MIC". therefore cheap. guide told us there's a shop in Seoul selling the merchandises too, but much more expensive because it is made in korea...
outdoor park with teddy bears~ (we missed out this area... only ran out to take pictures when they were all leaving... so no one to take pictures of)
in the lift on the way out :(
Dinner was next! had rather early lunch + dinner at jeju cos other than the attractions, there was nothing much... no shopping no nothing... and we were all complaining of the boredem... nice guide - Charlie asked the bus driver to give us an hour to walk around the dinner area (there were some small shops around). cos the bus driver was suppose to drive us back after dinner and finish work from there... he was grumpy when he was told he had to wait another hour.... the Seould driver was much nicer... :)
everyone had to pay US$25 for dinner cos this was a special dinner arranged for us. initially dinner was going to be some boring rice and fish and kimchi. but charlie asked everyone if we wanted to try what jeju is famous for - seafood, and everyone wanted... therefore this seafood dinner - with fresh raw fishes/shellfish/octopus and some cooked ones... daddy and me cooked almost everything... :x cos we dun take raw things... but he ate the oyster raw though.... me no like...

some shellfish cooked porridge cos dinner didn't come with rice or anything. so charlie specially request for the kitchen to cook us some porridge with seafood. we later found out the kitchen didn't want to cook cos in korea, people only eat porridge when they're sick...
raw abalone.. eeh... charlie said everything is to be eaten raw... and that those who cook it waste it.... :x
i enjoyed the cooked seafood and the porridge... though there were bits of clam like things inside... but US$25 leh... not cheap actually... but we're on a holiday afterall~
there were branded shops like Nike and Addidas there... but guide said the things there are more expensive cos they have to be brought in from Seoul. went back to the hotel to rest and they gathered at our room, ate some titbits, drank some soju, watched some tv and chatted till we were all tired... slept... getting ready for day 4!
(lazy to read through to check for grammer or spelling mistakes....)
